Hi people!
We know that we haven't been updating our blog in like FOREVER, but then, WE'RE BACK!
Valentine's coming so we are going to start the first post of the year with our spoils from Muji. Muji has been selling baking kits for quite a long time now and we have tried some of them. Now, Muji has released a series of DIY treats for Valentine's Day and we highly recommend getting them.
Look at all the DIY Valentine treats we got!
Here's a list of what we got (in order of left to right, top to bottom):
1. Handmade Chocolate Tarts [$12.90]
2. Handmade Macaroons (Pistachio and Strawberry Flavours) [$18.90]
3. Handmade Heart Shaped Chocolate Crunch [$15.50]
4. Handmade Strawberry Gateau Chocolate Cake [$12.90]
5. Handmade Ganache [$10.90]
6. Handmade Fondant Chocolate [$12.90]
Of course there are other DIY kits like their Chocolate Chips kit, Sachertorte kit and more but we decided to get these as they appealed most to us (And these kits are quite expensive).
Expensive though it may be, the taste is guaranteed to make it worth the money (unless you mess up, but its quite easy to make these delicious babies so its quite difficult to mess up as long as you follow instructions and pre-measure the ingredients). Most of the necessary ingredients and moulds are included in the box so you will only need certain fresh ingredients like water, butter, milk, etc and the necessary utensils and equipment (the oven, most importantly!).
Don't be afraid to pick up these kits and get scared off by the Japanese instructions behind the box as these boxes includes an english translation of the recipe. If you don't find it inside your kit, you will have to go back to Muji and ask the staff to give you the english translated recipes. The best way to check if your kit contains the english recipe is to check if the top of the box has a small paper inserted. That would be the english recipe.
We highly recommend getting these kits and making them for you loved ones (P.S Get 2 of one kit: one to practice, one for the real thing). Even if not making for your family, you can impress guests with these baking kits. Of course we will be posting our reviews of these kits including those that are not Valentine's related. So stay tuned.
